Anyone have/tried the CoolerMaster Storm Sentinel Advance? (What a name...)
I've been reading some reviews on it, and it seems like a decent mouse.

I normally just use cheap stuff, but my mouse is fucked, and figured I might treat myself.

Here is the page on the CM site.
Yeah I was kinda shocked to see CM made a mouse, the gimmicky LEDs/OLED aside, it's a highly customisable mouse.

I don't really like the look of the G9X, and it costs more than then Sentinel, so I'm leaning towards the latter.

Overclockers Club did a review on it, testing it against a g5 (didn't have a g9 handy I guess?

I'd need to get a real mousepad I guess. My soft $3 pad won't cut it.

best thing i can recommend regarding buying a new mouse is....

go to a normal retail store or something where they have the mouse on display that you want and actually use it, just put ya hand over it and move it around and see if its comfortable.

so if your happy with the customizable options that are available and its comfortable then get it. most of this stuff regarding OMG its got 5000dpi!!!! dosnt mean shit, most people only use up to 1000dpi anyways when gaming. (this is however dependent on what you use the mouse for)

looks like a decent mouse though. gotta say though, if your willing to buy a good mouse BUY A GOOD MOUSE PAD!!!! your mouse will last longer plus you will get better response.

the mouse feet will last longer with a nice pad.

Ask yourself, do you like fingering or are you better with your palm? (totally valid and mouse related question) Very Happy

For the razer alternatives there are the death adder (palm) and larchesis (fingerer) to give you an idea of shape, but at the end of the day it comes down to what feels right for you.

Yeah I did say I was gonna get a new pad.

I wouldn't know the first thing about a good mouse pad. Or where to get one. Suggestions?

No way would this influence my purchase, but the sentinel with blue LEDs will go nicely with my antec 900 :p

Now I just need to find a retail store with a sentinel... Hmm.

well i use a razor eXactmat, its a solid mouse pad that dosnt move and has a speed side and a control side. decent size too. id recommend something like that or get something a bit larger. i prefer the solid ones as they dont bend or anything like that.

OK. So I did have a g5 without a mouse pad... but the feet were dying on me and I felt I coulduse a new one. So i retired my g5 after about 3 or 4 years. I then got myself a G500. very similar to the g5 but with more buttons, conveniently placed I might add, and the ballbearing scrollwheel. When I bought this I also got myself a Razer Goliathus mousepad... fuck me this thing is huge!!! (and yes, TWSS)

But yeah good mouse, and good mousepad.

PS. sorry if the photo quality's not to good, I took it on my phone.

They're all so big. I don't need something that big.

The Sphex seems okay. Not sure if I want a 'desktop skin' though.

if ya dont want something that big i would suggest getting an exactmat from razer, what i got. not too big but not small, enough room for moving the mouse around

I'm glad to hear you order a razer Soup! I bought mine from a shop, so I didn't need it shipped, so I'm not sure. This year would be the fourth year I've had my copperhead, they go strong!
