Well. I hadn't really thought of that. I think that a Max of 5 maps per Entrant is good enough. If you have more than that just pick your best 5.

yeah but in all fairness, i doubt its a good idea if we are allowing multiple map entrants for the comp, sure you can submit as many maps as you want but only 1 will be selected from each entrant (by whom i dont know) for the actual comp, this way, we arnt going through 50 maps from 15 different ppl when it comes time to test in game, that would take for fkn ever!!!

true. Look I have painting comps on another site, and it's the same kind of thing. What you want is for people to have the same amount of time to create something. So it starts "here" and finishes "here", and that is the time you have to create - your not pulling out stuff you did 5 years ago.

So for the next one maybe make it 1, or possibly 3 - if ppl have that much spare time, but we want good maps at the end of it, not 5 x 2 HR jobs Very Happy

I saw the 3 maps posted by diamond few days ago i was going to wait till i got back to perth. But i thought 1 map per entry. Its wasn't something we thought about at the time of planing and quoths right we wants 1 decent map. I think it should be one per entry. [ick your best map whats the point in having 4 if some arn't that great. + you can save the others for the next comp.

I agree wtih 47 we dont want to go through 50 maps that would take so long. (trail and error) One bug worked out. Wheres the next one?

Diamond - Just pick your best the one you think is going to win. or ask some your friends the doa guys what one they like better and pick that. Delete your other posts. Or talk to electron or me. ill be back home in few days.

Hey man, just as Edgers said its open to all, although can you please add the top down screenshot as well? Have a look at the other entries first screenshots for an idea of whats wanted. Its just so that the judges can get a good idea of space and layout quickly.

If you can please get that changed soon.

I think with this in particular only really apllies to maps that have already been used at some point in time somewhere, if you have a whole bunch of maps just sitting around doing nothing that are made by you, then i dont see why you cant hang on to them for any future up coming map making comps, provided they meet the guidelines for the style of maps played on the DOA server and are you own original work...

It should've been added in the rules, (devi remind me to do this) Razz That if the map has been used elsewhere, for another competition, or server, please refrain from entering it.

Having said that, Broken, Yes you may. As long as it hasn't already been put on the server and played...

Electron, both Broken's and Crimson's maps have been put on the server already (and Devilish's if he's entering drunk day). This may need to be made clear to those entering the comp that their map must only be in this thread of the forums so Fod or Geoff don't upload them too early.

Best way to do it is make them 32, so that if you map is popular enough and is used on other servers, they won't need to try and decompile it to put more in...
