Enter Shikari

Ok so my bother Hykariki showed me this band called Enter Shikari (I think it was the name of the band that got his attention)

I didn't like them at first but got listing to them while I had all my music on a random playlist...

Anyway they are an English band who mix a few styles of music together, techno, trance, a little rap, metal mostly and even some screamo.
apparently they were really popular in 06 with there song "Sorry, you're not a winner" but I've never heard of them till very recently, a lot of people I talk to have never heard them before while others such as Medic and Zebra know them pretty well..

I send links to these guys songs to a lot of people, some hate them with a passion and some fall in love with them.

I'm one of the few who have fallen in love with this band and enjoy most of their tunes, they are currently my favorite band.
They are a hard band to judge just from 1 or 2 songs since a lot of their songs are very different from one and other...

Mothership Another 06 Track, It really doesn't have much meaning, it's just a really cool song imo, and I love how the lyrics to the first verse are screamed "I don't understand a word you're saying" (I'm fully aware that the uploader for this video has fail grammar)

Wall This one is from 09, It's a completely different kind song to Sorry and Mothership, it has real meaning, has a nice build up and is more of just a chill out kind of style... This is a must listen.

Gap In The Fence Probably the softest song these guys have, until about half way then it becomes a dance beat.. great track.

Hectic I would have to label this one my favorite, so many different styles in this one, it's really just Hectic

Step Up Hard rock jammed full of synths, this song speaks for itself really...

I like this sort of shit, but the only thing that catches me about it is the riff because its catchy.

Otherwise i think their music is bland and rather heartless. I looked over the lyrics aswell, lyrics are everything to me and they didn't catch me as having any heart or anything...

But, ive got heaps of shit like this if thats what your into mutant. In the hardcore scene theres quite a following for bands that mix trance and techno in with the scremo/hardcore, its a fantastic mix tbh. Want me to hit you up with some other bands?

I don't think I totally agree with that, Gap and Wall I thought had pretty strong meanings IMO...
Mothership and such on the other hand don't really have meaning at all, I'm one of those people who like trance and shit as well so lyrics don't always mean everything to me.

All these bands follow along the same lines as enter shikari but explore other areas aswell.

This bands called confide, basically screamo but they are much complex in their music.
However, their best song (i think, they have so many other awesome songs) is actually a cover of a song called "such great heights. They've got keys and shit in there. Check the myspace link, the song after it called I never or something is also mad.

This bands one of my all time favs. They are a melb band that ive seen i dunno how many time. They are called dream on, dreamer. Vultures and everything o0ther song there is amzing.

I reckon you'll dig this band, they are called house vs hurricane. its susposed to be like a message about their music... House (for ther soft parts and keys) vs hurricane (the metaulz ^^). They are also a local band from melb but are making a huge fucken name for themselves. Seen them 21237803470034 times. They got heaps of shit in there, keys, clean vocals tou name it. Forfeiture and the only virtue are awesome.
