for the last fireworks bit they would have needed roughly a thousand people. well, for the whole thing really. any of you bastards know what sheep are like to muster?

My boss Gavin at work is as old as fodder, he was the New Zealand sheep mustering champ back in like 1934. He can control 3-4 dogs at once so if each sheppard had 4 dogs there wouldnt need to be very many people at all. and it was sped up.

lol, muster means the same as herd. herd is a pommy term or something.
and manx, its not as easy as it sounds to control 3-4 dogs at once, they need to be taught from like birth.

Yeah he does a bit of mustering fromn his ute now instead of horse back and he's in the Tux competitions he trains them part time now he says after a week he knows what dogs are good and what are not.

Yeah, you can see that in most dogs if you've been around em. sucks to see people kicking the shit out of their dog when its not doing what they want it to do. thats just some dogs but if you keep kicking it it'll never listen to you. thats about the stage most people shoot them.

ve two dogs all we every train them to is sit, flat (laying down) , wait (you'll call them) and Stay (youll come back). Our little Wire haired Jack russel also does roll over with out command just does it for some reason apparenlty its a dominence thing.
Both dogs have taken to this training resonable well but its still just basic.

Oh and forgot one, Heel when they are on the leash.

We also have two cats that come to food and stay on couches, chairs, beds and gardens all day.

lol, i had a cat once. pne dsy when he was hungry he went into the pantry and pick up the bag of cat food that was bigger than him, and carried it out into the kitchen to his tucker bowl. lulz ensued.

WTF how did the cat pick up the bag, with its hands?

And yes, it took a while but we finally got manx to heel...

Mustering is when your bringing all the sheep to the shed for worming as an example, as opposed to herding which is to herd then to another paddock.

We (my family boss etc) use mustering as any moving of sheep in mass. might herd one into a pen? sounds more country to use muster.

and sheep dont run in herds they run in flocks.
