GUNGAME 3 FTW

We are gonna officially start another server thru our old mate Dieslow (who, in the very early days, was just about our biggest supporter, along with Plums).

The Ausnet server will die and we will have one with Dieslow and one with Game Server Hosting. We have decided to stay with gg3 for the time being and it will be on both servers.

Without a doubt, gg5 is the best version, but we can't put up with the crashes eh. I know a lot of our diehard regs prefer it and just put up with the crashes, but it's not good. We lose a few regs after the 2nd or 3rd crash, most of the semi regs, and ALL of the randoms. They just go elsewhere, and why not?

GG5?? Numbers drop badly, and we just cant have that. People join a busy server, so thats the basis of success, and we gotta go with that.

Everyone has the same hasles with gg3, give is slow, u get stuck with a knife between weapons, u pick up the wrong weapon. Same for everyone, so hey, who cares.

Mutant and Geoff are exploring answers to the gg5 crashing problem, and, don't worry, soon as it's fixed it will def be the only version we use.

At the moment? We got GG3 going.

There's no crashes, ppl build up, the server is busy, it's flat out. So we all have fun.

Yeah it's sad, GG5 has much better rego and is just faster, but it's really unstable.

tru as fodder stability b 4 anything, like u said after a few crashes ppl leave and its just as frustrating 4 the ppl who stay on cause every 1 left.

gg3 has met its match. I spawned outside the map on supadeath so i tried to slap myself back in then I timed out and the server crashed.

the only good thing about the crashes on gg5 is that it always goes to shotty

good news about starting a server with dieslow though, should be good

Well just to let ya all know im going through and finding like every version of gungame5 that is downloable and going through the hard process of actually finding the best one of em all, it may be a lost cause but its worth a try.

Auplayer was GG3, and we had none of those issues. Has anyone considered perhaps asking Dante what he did differently?

Back on Ausplayer/Bluewire, GG3 seemed perfect. There must be some workaround.
