| So i only just recently got CS:S, and one of the main draws for me when getting a few source games on PC (already had a few on PS3) was the source SDK, so ive throw together this map for GG servers (because i like the fast paced action of gungame with the semi-persistent data between rounds). its call GG_Converge, and its one of those orange and grey maps. Now i know that people, especially in gungame map, dont like campers, so perhaps this map isn't great for camper haters, and i suppose campers shouldn't play gungame servers, but anyway, heres the map. in all honesty, as my first map i wasn't expecting it to be great or amazing, this is me discovering hammer

thanks, umm, it is a HDR map too, but im thinking of turning HDR off because (and this could just be me) certain models in HDR have green marks and pixelations on them, and it just looks shit, im thinking it may be due to CS: S running on the EP1 engine. also, this map is mostly symmetrical, the lights inside the spawn towers were just added in as an afterthought, but that shouldn't affect gameplay. Map has 12 slots per side making a total of 24 available slots.

maybe, have only tested it alone, if it gets down to 1 v 1 the map is so open that it wouldn't take much to find the other person. if anyone wants a few rounds on it just download the map and add me on steam, account name is huddo121, no buyzones though, so ill just set sv_cheats to 1 and if you want a weapon just type give | |

maybe, im working on a much smaller (yet still multi-level) map which i might have done by tonight, but if not i'll have it done by end of the week (half yearly exams ) also, anyone that downloaded the BSP might want to redownload it, just added some materials with pakrat. also, regarding the size, i usually play GG on day of defeat, which is why i think i am leaning towards the larger map sizes. | |

Where to begin?
#1. Was that the original size of the map or did you select everything and dragged it smaller? #2. If you didn't do #1 then you made the map way to small #3. Spawn are a BIG! problem. Everyone blocks everyone only cause there is no where to move. #4. Because the spawns are so small and enclosed people camp in them.
Otherwise its an awesome looking map. My suggestions: Open the spawns up and make them bigger. But at the same time make sure you cant see one spawn from the other one.
Make the map bigger. Just increase the size of everything. Honestly if it was a decent size bigger it would not be "WAY TO BIG" as dicks keep saying.

| the map was left at the default size, despite the objections, ill work on the spawns, i'll extend the towers across and perhaps add another level worth of catwalks. | |

| sorry but this map is shit... The spawn is epic blockage, and when i say epic, i mean u cant move. Lighting is too shit and its too cramped..

| Rip the spawn right open imo. Absolutely no need for the camping bits up the top. All spawn needs to be is a big open area you can get out of fast and don't want to go back into.
Also, too many dark lil hiding spots that you can see the entire map from - this just promotes camping. Rip a bit of the ramps off to decrease shadows and make the boxes so you can't camp as well behind them. | |

| hmmmm, the renovation of the map is probably more work then just making a similar map with he changes intact in the first place.
perhaps this is more of an aim_awp map with all the campy spots, which i did intentionally put in there.
I'll work on this maps cousin of sorts. | |

| yeah, a remake might be the way to go. It looks good, but it was kinda funny having your head basically touching the roof, and no where for ppl to move around you, even out in the map. In the end, with the amount of ppl that were on playing it, it got annoying.

I really like the look of this map and think it has some potential.
This may sound like I am trying to steal your map but can I ask you for the .vmf file so I can edit the map.
Only thing I want to do it is increase the size of it and expand the spawns.
I will take no credit as the creator of the map. I just don't want to see an awesome looking map be abandoned.
