sign ur map

I reckon if you go to the trouble of making a map you should sign it somewhere eh, ur ingame name, ur avatar or some symbol.

In reality its like a little artwork, this thing you have created, you should sign it in some way.

Don't forget ppl will download it, and some of the maps will end up on other servers of course. "Your" map could end up being the favourite map on someones server or even get to the point of being a popular map on heaps of servers, who knows?

You may end up with a map as popular and well known as shotty, deagle, or churches etc.

And they wont know who made it or where it comes from.

Thats what I reckon anyway

let them be like "HOLY CRAP DoA ORIGINALS EVERYWHERE!!!" lol
im going to hide a little doa logo on all my maps and see if people can find them :3

I tried that with my map but had trouble with the decal being seen even when behind a wall,still got some skills to learn,

Overlays are generally netter then decal's. Most people just use the block tool to write out "Map made by Barry" etc. I'm too lazy

Awesome idea crimson, DOA maps everywhere would be rly cool way to get the name out and about, everyone use the same logo with their own name, would be cool as I reckon, we should load it onto existing maps that guys have done too

Tried the overlay tool and went up no prob,but when i went into game it showed as a black square,no logo.
Any suggestions?

PS: Which is the block tool?

PPS: I like Crimsons idea but how do you shrink down the logo to put it in inconspicuous places?

Hmm not too sure myst, I'll have a look.
As for the block tool its the white cube looking thing you use to make walls and floors etc.

As for trimming down the texture, I THINK you can do it in hammer....been a long time since I've used customs so probably better asking Crim or Mutant...
