Need Suggestions For A Name For My First Map!!! - gg_overslayer

It's what the title says...
I've just completed my first GG map, and I can't think of a good name for it.

I've since chosen the name gg_overslayer - as provided by grievous thanks dude!

Heres some screenies and a link to the .bsp file

Have a look and tell me what you think would be a suitable name

Bottom Spawn Area - spawns 12 players underneath.

Top Spawn Area - an additional 4 slots.

Central Play Area - In front of spawns, minimal obsticles, nice and open for no blocking.

Why not just something simple like gg_electron? Or worst case, gg_omgthismaplookslikeitwillbeverybrightandimayneedtoturndownmybrightness?

Either way will be interesting to see how it plays, nice work

Nice looking map, wont be to bright, gg_qwerty or whatever it's called would be way worse.

As for names, no idea, prob your ign...

And I'm not sure why but the white dev textures seem bright to me? Overly bright even. Jaffa I tihnk it is is hell bright and glary for me but I guess we will see. But yes I think most of us suffer from naming maps badly haha, not that Valve did much better

I'd call it gg_aim_overslayer.

I looked at this map, I would suggest you raise those glass back wall a little bit because you can see the top of a persons head in the other spawn and no one likes to be killed in spawn, and I don't know how many spawns you added but when I added a few bots if went fucking mental O_o kept kicking and adding new bots.

Other than that I like it, nice and small and very minimal camping spots.

Will also raise the glass slightly, and put a box in front of it so that you can still jump up and shoot overtop of it

agrees with reaper, the floor is white after all whats this about adding a box so people can shoot overtop the glass in spawn? wouldnt that be spawn camping or am i not seeing what your saying?

No it would be for those pesky times when you get to thier spawn and they are on the other side... However, I can see it being used for spawn camping, so might just be best to leave it out. Good point B1

I normally add 16 spawns for each team as the default max players is 32, this is just so if your maps ends up on another server at some point and they have say a 30 slot GG server they can play it...

32 is the default max but this can be raised higher but I stick to the default number...

It's up to you though depending if you want this map to possibly be played on a higher number of servers or a lower number.

Hope this makes sence kinda half pissed.

I added in the extra 4 spawn points, and raised up the glass partitions...
However... When I added 24 bots to test it out... they could shoot thru the glass! That wasn't possible before I changed it... So what went wrong?

I've follwed an SDK guide to making bullet proof glass, and there are 2 separate blocks, each 1 inch thick, with a "no draw" texture on the sides that are touching. They are then both tied to thier own entity "func_wall".

What went wrong??

You could always use a clip brush...i just can't think of the one that stops everything haha

Can't tell without looking at the map itself, but what you did there Electron should normally work, I used the same thing on my old fallingtrash remake.

I did notice that you couldn't shot through the glass walls before not even with the awp, so I don't know what's going on.

I know it's really wierd...

I liked Grievous' idea for the name best, so I've renamed it. Sent it to Mutant for testing/fixing/tag insertion/anti de-compiling.
