Holy Cabbage in a Potato Factory, this game is freaking awesome

After fiddling with it I finally got it to work, and its unreal. Talk about gore, I have seen skull fragments after a headshot. I hope you have all gotten into this demo, Im deff getting the game now.

Only gripe is having to choose between pistol and melee weapon, I would have prefered my magnum pistol AND my machete, but hey, all in all its spectacular.

what you talking about the gore is nothing, you should have seen wat it was like before they took out the gory shit haha it was mad.

Dunno if ya heard mate but L4D2 got nerfed hardcore as far as gore and crap go for us aussies.

I refuse to even play the demo as it's not even the real L4D2.

Yeah it originally got banned in australia as we dont have a R+ raiting for games here (Yet we do for movies... ffs)
So instead of banning it Value took out all the "GORE" and it has still been given a MA15+ rating i think?

LOL.. some dude in NZ did this for my brother.. I believe he bought it through steam as a gift? Not exactly sure, I will ask him tomorrow about how he did it.

Ok, just spoke to a mate. Apparently Australia has banned L4D2 Sales in australia completly, that includes the cut down version

However, if you buy the 4 pack and gift them to friends, mates in Aus get the full NZ version. So best way to get it, get a kiwi mate to buy it on their steam and gift it to ya

Hey woffle, sorry about late reply, exams and shit pissing me off. I was studying at uni till fkn 3am yestrday morning, slept in my car till 5am, was fkn freezing then had an exam 8:30am-11:40am I don't know why the fk they started having Saturday exams, but it's annoying as hell.

It works 100% when bought through as a gift from NZ, and no probs with it that shit snowy. My brother said he plays aus servers and crap, because the gore n shit is from your client only, has nothing to do with the server that's hosting.

Yeah, as grevious said, it 100% works. It is only illegal to purchase the game in Australia, there is nothing against being gifted the game, nor playing the game. The law just makes you jump through a few hoops before you can dismember some zombies.

It's it's just banned from being sold in Australia, nothing else.

Is it worth buying the filtered down version? I never played the original but I played the L4D2 demo and it was sick fun, so am considering buying it. Anyone else have it?

i reckon if there are enough people who want to get it, get woffle to buy the LFD2 pack (4 licenses or something) and yeah get him to gift them over to us. its cheaper and then from my understanding you will get the uncensored version

i got the uncensored version, a friend told me how to get it, if you don't want to have to get it from nz, this is what you can do:


close steam and open this address http://store.steampowered.com/app/550/?cc=uk


This is the UK store. here you can purchase the game from the UK uncensored and get around the credit card thing that happens on the US site for some reason. Important you change a couple of things first.

1) Change settings in your online profile, so that your home country is either NOT DISPLAYED or United Kingdom.

2)Do the same the state or region

3)In settings STEAM, go to downloads and change the settings to United Kingdom for the DL region



Okay then, important you CLOSE STEAM TRAY FIRST, and that you HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS SAVED before you proceed to the UK site.

Once there proceed like normal to the purchase, for home country select United Kingdom, state select WA and then put in your credit card details and purchase like normal. Should go smooth as give me yell if any problems.
