Assassin ban vote

Assassin has been banned for abusing mutant enemy and some members have voiced their opinion that a perm ban for this was too harsh.
Too take bans out of the banner's hands I think that the Cpt's and Ldr's should have a vote on any contentious issues such as certain perm bans or DOA members getting kicked etc.

Assassin is a very verbal guy but I really dont think a perm ban for a bit of abuse is necessary. I just spoke to him and he is actually pretty devo about the whole thing.
This kinda thing seems to happen a fair bit on other servers and I reckon if we are gonna distinguish ourselves and stand out from all the crap servers, we need a great atmosphere 100% of the time. Right now we are at about 90%. Its fun most of the time, but often we see people abusing each other and crap for no real reason. If we are gonna make DOA the best server around then we need a 100% positive environment where anyone can rock up and play a sweet game of counterstrike.

Having said that I don't think one instance of abuse is enough to condemn someone entirely. So long story short, Assassin shouldnt be perm banned.

As Pacman said, Assassin can be vocal, and a downright annoying shit at times, but his head is in the right place. Give him a shot, and keep Mutant away from him, if other Captains and Leaders have an issue then should we not ban someone perma then via vote not just when angry? I have banned abusers before but never Permanent. They get differing bans depending on severity.

This really has nuthin to do with him abusing mutant and him banning him. That was just mutant at the point of having enuff, and saying fk it, hes banned.

I fully support it, and if it wasnt for others I would have banned him long ago. He was banned for all the crap he did, NON STOP behind the scenes. This is stuff that only me, geoff and mutant knew about.

There is NO-ONE on the server who has created more crap than Assassin. He was desperate to be an admin from the day he joined and hassled me fkn non stop for admin. And I mean non stop, fkn over and over on a daily basis. I would get pms before cs was fully open every day, and it would be non stop till I quit.

He would tell me there was campers on the server, the server is out of control, theres ppl being abusive, theres porn sprays, etc, etc. "Just give me admin for a few minutes" Each time, none of these things were happening, he was just tryin to get fkn admin.

We would have 3-4 of our main guys lanning and the others would be saying, "theres no campers or abuse" or whatever, he was just makin it up. He was constantly tellin me ALL of our admins are retards and don't do their job, and whats the point of giving these guys admin, when they do nothing, etc.

He was always running down our admins, just fkn desperate to be one. He went out of control tryin to take over the CS server when it started, desperate to be a "big figure" in DOA.

He spammed mic ingame constantly, despite repeated warnings, he responded to every fkn post on the forum and in one week became the major poster on our forums, one week, wtf?. Fkn 200 posts in record time. He made toki, davegod and manx look like amateur spammers lol.

Tonite he's hassling Reyne to get NaD their own server cos it's not fair that they are dominated by DOA, and that they are just in DOAs shadow etc. He doesnt give a fk, he just wants to hook up a server to impress the dude running D4. (which is fail anyhow).

Same as the crap with the admin bs, not aware that we can check the server remotely and know there's no abuse or whatever, not aware that Reyne would talk to me within seconds of talking about NaD vs DOA, fkn dik.

Mutant could also go on and on about the trouble he's caused behind the scenes. Honestly, he wasnt just banned for abusing Mutant (which is enuff anyway) it's so much fkn more. Goodbye and good fkn riddance

I agree, paccy, a cool server 100% of the time is the goal, but the stuff he was doin wasnt seen by the normal punters on the server, so ppl arent really aware of it.

Des, he was raggin you big time one day till you came on the server, and then it was "hey Des". You were one of the "retarded admins who did fk all, and should'nt have admin".

Apart from hackers and abusive nubs fresh on the server, this is the ONLY regular to be banned. He deservers every bit of it I'm sorry.

The votes for this section can be changed at any time and all other future poles put up by Ldr's and Cpt's should be made the same.

My reason for this is that people who have voted already may read another post with information or opinions that change their minds on what their vote should have been.

Well in light of what fodder has said.....and I know how much he was trying to get admin. he was pestering me to put in a good word for him for ages. My vote is now yes, keep it Perma.

he used to tell me that checkrate was never working and that people were rate hacking and the admins wouldn't do anything about it....
Plus all the bitching about Campers and everything else that could break the rules.

Let this be known, we can check players rates, text chats, score, Team kills, head shots, Level ups, STEAM ID, admin logs and everything else externally

"Captain"
When we first handed out captain he was "unhappy" with the captains we chose,
Then harassed me for captain while bitching about the ones we had.

"Mapping"
(This has NOTHING to do with Keza, I respect Keza and I have nothing at all against him)
When we first started the CSS server some of the maps had problems with the hostages not following, I said I could fix it easily many times, he ignored me and tried to get Keza to fix it.
Many things like this where I could handle or fix things he would try and find someone else to do it, I can only assume he was trying to remove me from the picture.

"Forums"
Spammed like mad to the point he passed the forum founders (ME) post count within 2-3 weeks, harassed me for forum moderation and rank.

"ASS KISSING (kicked or left DOA?)"
On top of all the bitching one thing made me snap, And I so wish I had the chat log
Harassing me for shit all the time drove me mad, calling me in to the server all the time drove me mad, "sif play wow" every 10 mins drove me mad...

The thing that got right up my nose was that when I'd say:
"there is admin on :S"
"I'd have to ask fodder/Geoff/7th/a captain"
"I'm busy"

He'd then reply with shit like:
"7th is never on"
"fodder is an asshole"
"Geoff is always busy"
"The admins are useless"
"The Captain (name) is useless"

To the point I would rage the mofo, and he'd suck up with shit like "I know this is hard for you" "sorry I just want this to be this best clan" and other gay shit.
Eventually I told him to gtfo stfu or I will kick your fkn ass from the clan, he then quit DOA,

Then always did shit to get me to reply to him (he failed), I hadn't spoken to him since until the day I banned him for being a smart mouth gay lil emo fag wank.

well, i for one think assassin is ok, however i havent really seen the side of him that you guys are talking about. i always just saw him as a kid mucking around on the server.

i dont think a perma ban is really necessary, maybe 2 weeks or so, then a 0 tolerance on him, so if he messes up again its bye forever. if theres one thing i cant stand is lack of respect for other people.

Personally, I don't have a clue what happened, but I know he can be a shit-talker and can be annoying as hell. And even if he wasn't I'd support Mutants decision. I don't think he'd perma someone over nothing.

He has gone way past a two week ban, he's been warned over and over, he's had personal posts warning him, and no change, this was like, the end of the line stuff, we had had enuff.

Read between the lines, he was doin shit that no-one else has. Re read the posts from me and mutant about what he was doin guys. Why should that be tolerated?????????

Mutant is really tolerant, he wont ban someone for a personality conflict, or cos he just doesn't like someone. He raged him over and over for the shit he was doin, and he STILL kept doin it. fk him

After reading the shit he has done some peeps can vote to NOT ban him? We get dudes who come on to the server and mouth the admins, they get warned, then banned. Guys abuse ppl and carry on, they get banned. Guys hack, they get banned. Guys argue the fk why they should be able to camp and wont stop, they get banned.

Assassin should'nt be banned??????? WTF??????? As I said, theres still shit he did that we havnt brought up cos we'd be posting forever

Hey Guys.
For a start thanks for your input and participation.

As the vote showed some people have had real long term problems with Assassin, whereas others haven't. Upon some people reading other's comments, they have changed their vote, which is why I enabled that option.

In the last week Assassin has been going under the name of Pyro, connected to a different steam account, which enabled him to play on the Oz GunGame server while banned.
He also via chat, constantly pushed himself on fodder and mutant, encouraging them to add him to their friends list, using the offer of a give script for gg5 as an enticement.
This is the same behavior that fodder and mutant have complained about most vehemently when commenting on their reasons for his original ban. It seems that being banned hasn't changed his behavior or his way of dealing with people in the clan even when those 2 people are one of the owners and founding members and the other being a Leader of the clan.

We asked ourselves if there was any real deficit or benefit to DOA for Assassin to be in the clan or playing on the servers. With no real obvious benefit and several stated deficits the decision on those grounds left us with little choice.

For these reasons along with his previous behavior, fodder and myself have come to the decision that Assassin/Pyro should be banned from playing on DOA servers and participating in DOA clan business.
